Types of Trauma

Finding Resiliency

Finding Resiliency

Trauma is the lasting emotional and physiological response to deeply distressing events that overwhelm an individual’s sense of safety and ability to cope. It reshapes how the nervous system perceives threat, often leaving survivors feeling hypervigilant, exhausted, or disconnected long after danger has passed. True healing involves gently restoring that sense of internal security, reclaiming personal autonomy, and reconnecting with supportive, grounded community.

Finding Resiliency

Finding Resiliency

Finding Resiliency

Trauma can deeply disrupt our sense of safety, trust, and predictability, often leaving lasting marks on both the mind and body. Resiliency is not about pretending the hurt never happened, but about gradually reclaiming your personal power, voice, and boundaries through supportive community and intentional self-care. True healing unfolds one gentle step at a time, proving that survival is just the threshold to rediscovering your strength and peace.

Self-Care

Finding Resiliency

Self-Care

Self-care isn’t just an occasional luxury; it is the intentional practice of tuning in to your own needs, protecting your energy, and honoring your boundaries. By creating predictable moments of rest, nourishment, and creative expression, you send a powerful signal to your nervous system that you are worthy of peace and safety. Over time, these small daily rituals rebuild trust in yourself and form the steady foundation for lasting resilience.
